The Monarch Desires Andrew to Lose Vice Admiral Title, Official Says
Defense authorities is moving forward to strip the Duke's remaining ceremonial military position under the guidance of the King, the defence secretary has declared.
John Healey stated the Monarch had "expressed his desire for this outcome".
The Duke, who was relinquished his title as a prince on this past week, retained his Vice Admiral position in the British Navy after relinquishing his other military positions in 2022.
"This is a move that's right, the King has directed us to implement this measure and this is being handled presently," the defense secretary stated to the BBC's Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg.
